I’m a mom of two and a member of the Cleveland community. Over time, I’ve realized that our schools may not be as safe as I'd assumed they were. Schools are one of the places where we KNOW that our children are safe. When that trust is shaken, it makes me question the bigger picture — our community as a whole. 

Recent cases involving school employees in multiple cities being accused or charged with inappropriate conduct toward students have only reinforced my concern. We'll never know how many children are afraid to speak up, don't know who to turn to, or simply are being ignored. Just as I was when I tried to raise these concerns with other "community groups" or leaders.  I have had enough and won't just stand by ... eventually becoming numb to this problem. I am extremely passionate about this issue and NEED to see a change in the way we keep our children safe. 

I created this community service because I know that children deserve safety and protection ALL THE TIME.  Parents and community members also deserve a place to share concerns with someone who actually cares and wants to see something done about it. <3
